Corey Le Vaillant

Corey is a producer, director, assistant director and editor.

After four years teaching Screen Production at Whitireia Community Polytechnic, Corey has returned to freelance work full time, seeking opportunities in social media promotional content, television, commercials, short and feature films, natural history and documentaries.

Corey works as an independent contractor and also through his company Ingot Films, which he set up with wife Fran Le Vaillant, with an aim to create dramatic storylines focusing on diversity, and with a particular skill in producing content for children and disabled communities.

Corey is Secretary of the Wellington Branch of the Screen Industry Guild of Aotearoa New Zealand, and a member of the Directors and Editors Guild of NZ.

Fran Le Vaillant

Fran is a writer, actor, voice actor and visual artist. From a young age she worked in radio and live performance, moving into short film and voice over after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Allen Hall, University of Otago, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (First Class) in English Literature from Victoria University of Wellington.

Rodney August

Rodney is a writer, photographer and camera operator with particular experience in wildlife documentary film-making. His experience in filming wildlife has led to an ability to adapt to situations and creatively problem-solve on the go. He has a Masters in Science Communication from the University of Otago and is a born storyteller.


Corey and Fran are advocates for collaboration, cooperative film-making and the promotion of a safe working environment.


Ingot Films is the production company of Corey and Fran Le Vaillant, based in Wellington, but working across Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia and beyond.
